Wiring management has always been a headache for many friends. Cabinet-type panels have become the main body of computer room panels, so wiring management is also an important part. How to organize cabinets well is also a part of the competitiveness of many enterprises. So today, let's summarize this knowledge.
1、 Several principles for organizing cabinets
Organize network cables according to the topology of the network and existing equipment conditions; In principle, the power cables and network cables of the cabinet should be arranged separately, and the equipment should be placed appropriately to avoid mutual squeezing, too high or too low, and too close to each other; If there are too many equipments in the cabinet, the equipment should be numbered; For each line, the source should be indicated at an appropriate location, and different identification methods should be used for different connections (such as general network connections, crossover lines, special lines, etc.); The network cable arrangement is based on the room number, not on the person. It can be summarized as follows: clear layout, regular line order, clear markings, and easy maintenance.
2、 Cabinet sorting steps
1. Preliminary preparation
First, notify the user to organize the cabinet without affecting the user's normal work.
Then draw the wiring diagram and equipment location diagram inside the cabinet according to various factors such as network topology, existing equipment conditions, user numbers, user grouping, etc.
Next, prepare the required materials: network jumpers, label paper, and various types of plastic ties.
2. Organize the cabinet
Install the cabinet:
We need to do the following three things ourselves: First, use the screws and nuts provided with the frame to tighten the fixing bracket; Secondly, turn down the cabinet and install the movable wheels; Third, adjust and add baffles to the mounting bracket according to the position of the device. Organize lines:
Grouping network cables is usually less than or equal to the number of cable management racks behind the cabinet. Bind the power cords of all equipment together, insert the plug through the rear hole, and then search for the respective equipment through a separate cable management rack.
Fixed equipment:
Adjust the bezel in the cabinet to the appropriate position, enabling administrators to see the operation of all devices without turning on the cabinet door, and add bezels appropriately based on the number and size of devices. Be careful to leave a certain gap between the baffles. Place all the switching equipment and routing equipment used in the cabinet according to the pre-drawn diagram.
Network cable labeling:
After all network cables are connected, it is necessary to identify each network cable, wrap the prepared instant messenger around the network cable, and mark it with a pen (usually indicating the room number or purpose). The identification should be simple and understandable. Crossed network cables can be distinguished from ordinary network cables by using different colors of instant messaging. If there are too many devices, they should be classified, numbered, and labeled.
